You might think that real estate is down in 2020 but that’s not the case. The great thing about real estate is everyone needs a home! That sounds like quite the chipper outlook but there is a big difference between what’s happening now and what happened about 12 years ago.
When the real estate market crashed, it was in large part due to financial over leveraging and outright fraud. We’ll likely see some repercussions in terms of foreclosures from people losing their jobs in part to the coronavirus outbreak. This doesn’t mean that all the homes for sale in Davenport are going to go down.
Below is a list of the top-selling neighborhoods in Davenport based purely on the number of homes sold. When we put together a list like this a few things stand out.
1. At least half of the list if new construction homes in Davenport. Builders like DR Horton, Pulte and Lennar are doing very well in the past few months.
2. If you want to sell your Davenport home, you’ll have a much better chance if you price it between $265,000 and $300,000.

Indeed!
Calabay Park

This list comprises Davenport’s top sellers but it only shows you part of the picture. We could have easily put together a post of 20 or more neighborhoods that have as many as 10 sales in the last 6 months alone. While homes sold isn’t the only metric to use when choosing a place to live, it can help you see which homes are popular with home buyers and should be in the future.
The only downside of this is that you’ll miss some of the best neighborhoods in Davenport that have lower turnover rates (meaning there are fewer homes sold). This is why you need a Davenport real estate agent that specializes in these neighborhoods and can show you the most popular and the most sought after.
