Allen David Broussard Catfish Creek Preserve State Park

This state park is ideal for anyone interested in a serene and relaxing day of hiking. The sandy trails remind you that you are in majestic Florida nature while also providing a low-impact footing that's easy on the knees. While the trails are wide, motorized vehicles such as ATVs are prohibited so you can enjoy the natural beauty undisturbed and uninterrupted. 

Southern Dunes Golf Club

The golfer in the family will feel right at home at Southern Dunes, one of the area’s premiere golf clubs. This 18-hole golf course features large, undulating greens, elevation changes of 100 feet, and wide fairways flanked by more than 170 bunkers that are sure to provide a fun challenge for golfers of all skill levels. When your round is over you can head inside to the course’s onsite restaurant for dinner and a drink.

Ridge Island Groves

Florida is known for its seemingly endless orange groves, and Ridge Island is one of the very few Florida Citrus packing houses left in the state. Check out one of the grove tours to learn more about the fruit industry and its impact on the region, or visit the general store for fruit pickups and a fresh squeezed OJ. But whatever you do, make sure not to leave before you try their famous Orange Dream Ice Cream, a local legend.
